Leadership and Vision – Background Information / Documents
Continuous Improvement:
- The district leadership team collaborates to disaggregate the data provided by benchmark assessments in order to identify the needs of students and staff. Using this information the leadership team plans for professional development and staffing support needed to target areas of concern.
Communication:
- District/School Leader Communication with Families/Community – At the classroom level, elementary uses Class Dojo. Middle school uses School Status Connect and IC. Secondary uses IC communication features in addition to traditional email and phone calls. The entire district used Blackboard Connect supported by Smores for all calls, texts, and emails. The district engages families through social media with Facebook being the platform with the most engagement.
Vision:
- District vision, mission and strategic priorities – For the last three years, our district has followed the Together For Excellence model:
- High quality instructional practices
- Clear and consistent two-way communication
- Creating and maintaining a positive, supportive, and inclusive culture.
- This model was created by a district committee to set the vison going forward. At the beginning of the school years, each school operates within this framework to support children. All stakeholders will incorporate these standards in their role in this school district.
Board Leadership:
- Building leadership provides presentations to the board in which they use to create and/or update policy based on the needs of our students.
Staff and teacher turnover:
- ESD22 is approved for an Induction/Mentoring Program.
- ESD22 assisted with tuition for para-to-teacher program and alternative programs (2AYLP/TIRP)
- ESD22 has actively sought out candidates to fill applicant pools via education fairs.
- ESD22 has created a teacher-friendly and family-friendly school calendar.
